Anyone who has ever set foot on the many golf courses in this area probably knows Jeff Fleishman , or has at least heard of him. And it may not only be for his smooth swing. It’s most likely because he has had his own golf business for 15 years.

Prior to starting his own business, Jeff was on the Kingsmill Resort payroll as Resident Manager. He applied his many years of experience with resort operations, marketing and golf to his own company, Golf Business Advisors (GBA), now located in the Bank of America building. He chose New Town because “it’s a hot spot, a fun place to work, and a great investment.” From his office in the Bank of America building, Jeff applies his talents to the company’s mission: “To assist golf clubs and golf course owners make more money and meet their objectives.”

Just what does this mean? GBA is a full-service consulting firm that assists golf clubs and golf course owners realize their maximum value and profit potential. To this end he has formulated and implemented plans over the past 15 years for more than 200 clients, most of which are within a two-hour drive from Williamsburg. He and his staff also follow up with clients to assure that they are staying on track. This, he says, is the key to success. As if that’s not enough, Jeff also has his real estate license enabling him to list and sell golf courses, and he assists with executive recruiting for golf clubs as well.

An interesting international client is Caeserea Golf Course in Israel, where Jeff is currently overseeing the renovation of its 18-hole course and assisting in its operational issues and membership drive. He also looks forward to competing in Israel at the World Maccabiah games.

At the end of the day when the sand has settled in the traps, Jeff goes home to his wife Laura and their 17-year-old daughter Winston. Oh, and let’s not forget his beloved corgi, Henry.

Yes, what a life. Living for golf and getting paid for it. How many golfers out there would trade careers with him in an instant.
